LaVar Ball was pretty close to seeing his dream become a reality.

For years now, the “Big Baller Father” has revealed his desire for all three of his sons to become NBA stars. It’s a quite ambitious aspiration for any parent, but this one is actually not too far-fetched.

In 2017, Lonzo was drafted by the Lakers and while he has not yet lived up to the hype he received coming out of college, the guy has become a quality starting-level guard in the league.

Eventually, LaMelo came along and, right away, showed flashes of stardom. He still has a lot to prove as a pro, but his future certainly seems bright.

Unfortunately, LiAngelo hasn’t had the same luck as his brothers. Besides his game not being quite on par with the NBA’s talent level, he’s been involved in a number of controversies over the years.

His most recent stint was with the Hornets, where it looked like he might finally get his big break. Ultimately, though, Charlotte cut him at the last second, and he remains unsigned.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from LiAngelo, but some footage did surface of him putting in some work at the gym — an encouraging sign for guys who just want to see him succeed.

There is still plenty of time for him to earn a spot in the league, and if he keeps working, it might not be long before he gets another chance.

We don’t yet know what the future looks like for Gelo. The jury is still out on whether or not he’s capable of being a consistent force in the NBA — but the level of exposure and publicity he generates surely gives him a better shot than most

No matter where he ends up, nobody can say the guy isn’t working.
