Forward Zion Williamson is the face of the New Orleans Pelicans. Though he is usually in the news cycle due to his basketball ability or a highlight reel, this summer, he has received the wrong kind of attention in the media.

We have seen pornstar Moriah Mills reportedly throw jabs at Zion Williamson on social media, even threatening to leak sex tapes involving the star. Many have, however, suggested that her anger is coming from a place of hurt, and it seems as though Mills has channeled that into her musical pursuits. Her recent song, “Y.D.C” which stands for “You Don’t Care”, is seemingly directed at Zion Williamson.

There’s no doubt that Moriah Mills isn’t quite over the end of her relationship with Zion Williamson. In fact, we previously saw her tattoo Zion Williamson’s name on her face, which was a shock to many fans.

Zion Williamson has not yet addressed the various attacks from Moriah Mills with the media. We will see if that changes in the future, but it seems as though Mills is continuing to bring attention to the situation with her actions.

The Pelicans Aren’t Happy With Zion Williamson’s Off-Court Issues

There’s no doubt that Zion Williamson’s off-court issues have caused many to view him in a negative light. In fact, even “high-ranking members” of the Pelicans are frustrated with those developments.

“There has been frenzied speculation about New Orleans dealing with Williamson. The Athletic reported that the Pelicans want to move up in the 2023 draft to select guard Scoot Henderson,” wrote Ian Begley. “Williamson would, presumably, be a key part of a trade up to the top 3 in the draft. Also, high-ranking members of the organization have been dismayed by recent off-court developments around Williamson, as other outlets have noted. The organization recently fired assistant coach Teresa Weatherspoon, a Naismith Hall of Famer who was instrumental in the development of several young Pelicans, including Williamson. Those reading the tea leaves may surmise that Weatherspoon’s firing was related to the team’s issues with Williamson.”

Hopefully, we see Zion Williamson avoid putting himself in these situations in the future. At this point, the goal for him should be to focus on basketball and improve his durability, and we’ll see what happens.
