The NBA is always filled with narratives, with various topics coming up as players make moves and put in performances that are then dissected by the media. But an interesting aspect of social media and other such platforms has been that players are now able to express themselves outside of the traditional media.

This has led to some arguments between analysts and current players. Charles Barkley’s criticism has rankled Kevin Durant, who has also separately called out the likes of Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. And perhaps no other player has taken the fight to traditional media like Draymond Green, who has often spoken about the ‘New Media’ as an answer to the old heads.

While many have disputed him on his claims, none have really gone after Draymond the way Rob Parker recently did on ‘The Odd Couple’ with Chris Broussard. Parker, who is known for his belligerent opinions, had some strong words about what would happen if Draymond were to debate media members like him and Chris Broussard.

“Draymond is just talking. This is my issue, Chris, is there’s nobody to push back on him. There’s nobody to challenge him. He’s just talking, and it’s fine, but it has no context. It doesn’t make any sense. We could – in two seconds, Chris – the both of us would undress Draymond Green. I’m dead serious.

“In two seconds, and he would be backpedaling and fumbling and bumbling and throwing back the shots off the side of the backboard or air balls completely. I mean, he would just be reduced to that. Stop it, Draymond.”

This is quite a strong take from Parker, and it remains to be seen if Green will respond to this. He is never afraid to talk back when someone tries to go at him, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see that happen. Whatever it may be, it’s evident that Green has rattled a lot of the old heads in the media.
