It’s pretty crazy to think that the Oklahoma City Thunder had three future MVPs and Scoring Champions on its ranks and didn’t win an NBA Championship.
The Thunder drafted Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. They made it to the NBA Finals but their stars were young and inexperienced and LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh got the best of them.
Sam Presti traded James Harden away to the Houston Rockets to keep Serge Ibaka. OKC put together some nice playoff runs afterward but could never get back to the NBA Finals.
Kevin Durant ended up leaving to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016, while Serge Ibaka was let go to join the Orlando Magic and Russell Westbrook was the last man standing. Durant went on to win back-to-back rings and later Ibaka got the last laugh in the Finals in 2019.
However, NBA fans don’t seem to count Durant’s rings with the Warriors. In fact, they trolled the 2-time Finals MVP with a pic that claimed that it was wild to see Serge Ibaka winning a ring before the other three:
It’s still wild that Serge Ibaka was the first one to get a ring out of this group. pic.twitter.com/1woagVPfSU

Knowing KD the way we know it, we can be sure that those jokes aren’t going to go unnoticed. It’s just a matter of time before he turns to his burner account and starts firing back. All jokes aside, the internet will always be undefeated.
