The Denver Nuggets have demolished the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 to book their spot in the Western Conference Finals.

Nikola Jokic had a 32-point triple-double, but Devin Booker completely disappeared after a historic series, scoring just 12 points as his Suns were eliminated for the second year in a row in a blowout 125-100 loss at home.

The game slipped out of Phoenix’s hand when the Nuggets went on a 17-0 run in the first quarter, which Monty Williams did nothing to stop.

Jokic had scored more than both Booker and Kevin Durant in the first half, utterly dominating the feared duo.

A lot of parallels have been drawn between what Luka Doncic did to the Suns last season and what Jokic has done in this elimination game.

Cameron Payne being the best Suns player in this Game 6 loss infuriated fans.

Skip Bayless came out to try and hate on Durant as well.

Nikola Jokic is proving that he may just be one of the greatest offensive players in NBA history, and this series will be one of the best examples of the same.

Jamal Murray had a solid game and scored 26 points, while Cameron Payne tried his best for the Suns and scored 31 points. Kevin Durant did end up getting 23 points up but was 1-8 from the field at a point in a shockingly bad performance by his own standards.

An Offseason To Worry About For Phoenix

Denver will be awaiting the winner of the Lakers vs. Warriors series in the WCF while the Suns look ahead to re-tooling this roster in the summer.

The biggest question to answer will be what happened with Deandre Ayton, who didn’t play in Game 6 due to an injury but looked completely disconnected from his team for most of this series. With the new CBA rules coming in, Phoenix may not want to pay Ayton what they are paying anymore because it restricts their ability to sign a mid-level exception player.

Filling out this roster with only minimums won’t be enough, as depth is what this team needs. Trading Ayton for multiple players instead of focusing on picks may be their best move to fill their roster out. The same goes for Chris Paul, whose $30 million is going to burn a hole with respect to his production not being at that level.

At least Booker and Durant are locked up for the long haul, meaning Phoenix will have multiple chances at constructing this roster. This summer will be crucial, as Phoenix needs to stop losing to European superstars in playoff settings.
