NBA Fans React To A Lakers Fan That Made A Diss Track On Russell Westbrook And Sent It To Him On Instagram: “You Ain’t Too Good When You Shoot The Ball. I Prefer When You Didn’t Shoot At All. C’mon Russ Show Me Something, 2-For-12 Ain’t Nothing.”

It is safe to say that fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are fully panicking right now. The Lakers have rarely been able to put together a string of wins this season. And right now, they are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. One of the players who has been blamed for their poor run of form is Russell Westbrook, as the former MVP has been incredibly inconsistent during this season.

And fans seemed to have had enough. One fan, in particular, decided to send Russell Westbrook a message through Instagram. This fan went into Russell Westbrook’s DMs to send him a personally made diss-track toward him, that aimed fire at Russ, his style of play, and his overall personality in a way that was quite disrespectful.

NBA fans reacted to this in the comments. Some people, including former NBA player Nick Young, felt that Westbrook becoming the prime recipient of the criticism is unfair given that almost the entire team is playing poorly. Whereas others actually found the humor in the post, especially given Westbrook’s poor play had been addressed on the track.

That’s why they losing because ppl show hate more them love this man Russ is a first ballot Hall of Famer and y’all been talking about him like he tony snell lol no disrespect

I guarantee if it was a diss to LeBron this wouldn’t be shared.

Enough Russ hate…..stop it

russ can’t even be mad because this was lowkey

“I’d bet a dollar that you’d throw it in the nose bleeds”

Why was he eating

Bars

Why was he eating

This is crazy

We need a full song

Song was hard but it’s WESTBRICK what do you expect

Internet always gon win

this lowkey go crazy

wait this was hard low key

I’m a lakers fan I tried defending Russ I can’t anymore

Nah “I bet a dollar you throw it in the nose bleeds” is crazy

2/12 ain’t nothing somebody sign this kid

“I prefer you didn’t shoot at all… NOPE”

Fans were skeptical of bringing Russ in during the offseason. While Westbrook is a great individual player, the longstanding belief surrounding him is that he cannot be a solid contributor to winning basketball. And given how Westbrook has been playing, he hasn’t done much to dispel that school of thought.

Westbrook has been the subject of immense criticism over the last week. So much so, that his brother had to come online and come to his defense

Westbrook has to improve going forward if he wants the questions and the criticisms to stop. Westbrook’s mentality has come into question after he said basketball isn’t the end all be all, suggesting that winning an NBA championship wasn’t a critical goal for him.
