Allen Iverson Says Andre Iguodala Is The Best Dunker Of All Time, Not Vince Carter

Allen Iverson has always kept it real. He’s never disrespected anybody but will always tell it as he sees it, regardless of if other people will agree with him or not, and that’s just one of the many reasons why he became a cultural icon and one of the most influential people in the history of the NBA.

Even so, he shocked a lot of people when he fired a bit of a hot take during his interview with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson for “All The Smoke” when he chose the greatest dunker in NBA history.

While most people could lean towards Vince Carter, Dominique Wilkins, or even Zach LaVine among the first players who come to mind when talking about the greatest dunkers ever, Iverson thinks it’s actually Andre Iguodala:

“I just don’t want people to not recognize was Andre Iguodala was or is, as far as leaping. And I just seen him do so many things, man. Just getting off the floor,” Iverson said.

Andre and The Answer shared the court during Iguodala’s stint in Philadelphia and developed some nice chemistry, especially in the fast-break. And yeah, young Iguodala had crazy hops and he still shows them from time to time even at this stage of his career.

That doesn’t mean that Iverson’s take isn’t kind of wild. Then again, he’s entitled to his opinion and he’s been known for always spreading love to his former teammates.

However, when put side by side with players of the likes of Vince Carter – who went at Allen Iverson over and over in his prime – even great dunkers like Andre Iguodala look like they’re one or two tiers below.
