Anthony Edwards Believes In The Minnesota Timberwolves: “We Are Going To The Playoffs.”

The Minnesota Timberwolves last made the playoffs during the 2017-18 season, when star forward Jimmy Butler was still on the team. There is no doubt that there hasn’t been much team success since then, but that could potentially change.

During the 2020 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Anthony Edwards, who has now shown the potential to be a future superstar. He is currently averaging 22.3 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and 3.5 APG on the season. Adding him next to two former All-Stars in D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns could potentially pay dividends, as there is certainly potential for the Minnesota Timberwolves to make the playoffs.

The team is currently the 9th seed in the Western Conference, and perhaps we could see them make the playoffs outright going forward if they move upwards in the standings. If not, there is still a chance that they could make the playoffs via the play-in tournament.

After the team’s recent win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Anthony Edwards declared that they are going to the playoffs. It is clear that he is confident in the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they certainly have the talent on the roster to be a playoff team. They could potentially be a tough young team to face in the playoffs as well, with solid offensive players and some good defenders.

Anthony Edwards: "We are going to the playoffs"

We’ll see if Anthony Edwards’ prediction will come true. There’s no doubt that the team is better this year than before, but they still have to figure out how to win as a unit. Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards have all been great individually, but at some point, those numbers have to translate into wins.

It’s clear that Anthony Edwards wants team success, and hopefully, we see the Minnesota Timberwolves make the playoffs. Franchise center Karl-Anthony Towns has claimed that he wants to win championships during his career, and perhaps we’ll see Anthony Edwards help him take the first steps towards that goal by making the postseason.
