In the modern NBA era, shooting is highly emphasized. The volume of 3PT shots getting put up around the league has increased. However, despite this shooting uptick, there are still players who find ways to succeed despite not being the best jump shooters in the game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of those players. While Giannis Antetokounmpo does shoot threes occasionally, the bread and butter of his game are driving to the rim, and finishing with a dunk or layup. His dominance has earned him two MVP awards. However, despite his ability, he has often been criticized for the way he plays.

Chris Paul has recently commented on Giannis Antetokounmpo not getting the same respect as other superstars. Paul suggested that regardless of the way Giannis Antetokounmpo gets his numbers, he still manages to do it.

Chris Paul on Giannis not exactly getting the same respect as other superstars:

"He's a 2x MVP. Regardless of how he scores, he does it."

It is clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo has tremendous talent, even though he isn’t the best at shooting from beyond the arc and the free-throw line. On his drives, he commands the attention of multiple defenders, and somehow still manages to finish at the rim. That is genuinely impressive, and he has shown everyone the fact that he is a capable playoff performer. Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the game, and he deserves his respect.
