Devin Booker Complained About The Raptors Mascot While He Was Shooting A Free Throw: “He’s Jumping When I Shoot!”

2 Min Read

Devin Booker is one of the most talented young players in the NBA today. With incredible skill and determination, Booker has taken a massive leap over the last 2 years, finally evolving into the superstar that many fans expected him to eventually become. But his latest game shows he has some room to grow when it comes to his mentality.

During the Phoenix Suns’ trip to Canada to play the Toronto Raptors, Devin Booker went to the free-throw line. But while shooting, Booker started complaining to the referees that the Toronto Raptors mascot was trying to heckle and distract him, pointing out how the mascot kept jumping as he attempted his shot.

“He’s jumping when I shoot.”

This was a slightly poor display for Booker, who has often been compared to Kobe Bryant with regards to his style of play. But Kobe’s elite mentality wouldn’t have allowed him to get so easily distracted by a mascot. This incident has truly poured water over the comparisons between the two players.

Many NBA fans were disappointed with Booker, as they felt that he shouldn’t let a mascot get to him this way. After all, one of the mascot’s responsibilities is to try to distract the opposition players and get under their skin. And while it may have been an annoyance, it isn’t something for Booker to complain about.

Some may feel that Booker is in the right, and the mascot should not have tried to play mind games. And while there is an argument to be made, Booker should have known better, and not allowed the mascot to get under his skin, and thus affect his performance.
