The Phoenix Suns – Dallas Mavericks have been a tight and hard-fought series for both teams. Even though the Phoenix Suns ended up winning Game 5, it is still possible that the series will go to 7 games.

In the Game 5 blowout, it seems as though Devin Booker took some time to poke some fun at opposing star Luka Doncic. On a play where he took contact and ended up on the floor, Devin Booker took a while to get up and joked that he was doing “the Luka Special” when he did actually get up.

It is clear that Devin Booker is poking fun at the fact that Luka Doncic often exaggerates contact in order to draw fouls on the opposing player. There’s no doubt that other players, including Suns point guard Chris Paul, use that tactic, so Luka Doncic isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.

However, fans often frown upon exaggerating contact, as people dislike watching players try to bait for fouls. Devin Booker was likely trying to have some fun during the game, and there is no beef between him and Luka Doncic. Even though there is no known conflict between the two, Luka Doncic was caught throwing shade at the Phoenix Suns after the game, claiming that everybody is tough when they’re up.

It remains to be seen who will win the series between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks will have a chance to even out the series during Game 6 in Dallas. However, the Phoenix Suns will try to do their best to close out the game while still ahead. This series going to 7 games is definitely a possibility, though the Dallas Mavericks will need to be at their very best and bounce back after the blowout they were on the wrong side of in Game 5.
