Adam Sandler and LeBron James teamed up to executive produce a new movie for Netflix called ‘Hustle’. The movie follows a former NBA scout, played by Sandler, who finds an incredible streetball player (Juancho Hernangomez) and tries to get him to the NBA in order to help him revive his own career.

Several NBA players have made appearances in the movie, including Anthony Edwards, who roasted his former teammate’s character in the film.

During one of the scenes from the trailer for ‘Hustle’, Hernangomez and Anthony Edwards were paired up against each other during a scrimmage.

Anthony Edwards asked Hernangomez’s character where he was from, to which he responded that he was from Spain. Edwards hilariously remarked ‘sounds wack’ before running to the rim and dunking (1:38 onwards).

Anthony Edwards: “Where are you from?”

Juancho Hernangomez: “Spain.”

Anthony Edwards: “Sounds wack.”

The trailer has generated a lot of excitement among NBA fans, as they want to see how this story will be told. The fact that Netflix got an NBA player to play this character is especially intriguing.

Some of the best basketball movies have gotten NBA players to play the protagonist, such as ‘Space Jam’ and ‘He Got Game’, which featured Michael Jordan and Ray Allen, respectively.

And considering the number of NBA players that are expected to make an appearance in the movie, ‘Hustle’ is proving to be a can’t-miss for NBA fans. Adam Sandler is known to be a massive NBA fan, so one can imagine that he will bring a level of authenticity to the story that most basketball movies may not.

LeBron James is also a producer for the movie, meaning that he must have had some input in the process. ‘Hustle’ will be available to stream on Netflix on June 8th.
