Dwight Howard Says Beef With Anthony Davis Is Squashed After Controversial Incident vs. Suns

In an eventful game for the Los Angeles Lakers, the biggest issue of the night happened between two of their most important players. Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard starred in a bizarre altercation on the bench.

The two big men went at it before teammates separated them. This situation raised plenty of concerns around the league. Magic Johnson even called out both players for their actions, blasting them for doing something never seen in Lakers history.

The bright side is that D-12 and AD settled their differences, starting on the court. Mark Medina of NBA.com noticed that Howard extended a high five to Davis in the middle of the game, and the latter responded.

Moreover, after the game ended, Dwight made it clear that the situation was in the past, and they moved on.

“We squashed it right then and there. We just had a disagreement about something that was on the floor.”

“We’re both very passionate about winning. We didn’t want to lose this game, so we’re just passionate. We got it out of the way. We’re grown men, things happen. But we are going to squash this little issue between me and him, and that’s my brother, that’s my teammate.”

This is all the Lakers Nation needed to hear. They are two of the funniest players on the roster, and it’s weird seeing them being mad, especially with teammates. Fortunately, they moved past that and are ready to work to lift this Lakers team.

They still have a lot of work to do before playing like the title favorites people think they are. The first games of the season are always hard, and the Lakers faced the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors and then the Suns, who eliminated them from the playoff last season.

As LeBron James said, it’ll take some time to see this team playing great basketball. Meanwhile, they must keep working to reach that level.
