Inside the NBA always delivers when it comes to entertainment, and while it is usually Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley who leave the viewers in stitches, Ernie Johnson, who is usually the most level-headed of the bunch, has his hilarious moments too. Ernie tends to be a lot slicker as compared to the other two and goes under the radar a little bit with his humor.

During an episode back in 2014, Shaq was trying to clown on Ernie by stating that he wouldn’t understand O’Neal’s slang. He proceeded to ask Johnson if he knew what putting 26s on that thang means, and to the surprise of the rest of the crew, EJ nailed his response.

“I stack paper to the ceiling and ride on 24-inch chrome.”

For some reference for those who don’t get it, putting 26s on that thang means you are very rich, as it indicates the size of the wheels on the car. The richer someone is, the bigger the size of the rim, and O’Neal wanted to know if Ernie got the reference. Johnson, in response, stated that he stacks paper to the ceiling, which indicates he makes a ton of money and that his ride has a 24-inch rim, a clear sign that he got it to the dot.

It left Barkley and Kenny Smith in stitches while Shaq gave his respect to EJ. You better not mess with the guy or else you’ll be left stunned as O’Neal was in this instance. It was just another one in the long list of insanely funny moments in the history of the show that has become a fan favorite. The chemistry between these guys is unmatched in sports television, and we are delighted there isn’t going to be a breakup after Barkley announced that he would be staying on TNT after rejecting an offer from LIV Golf. Here’s to more hilarious segments in the coming years.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
