Fans Blast Lakers After Blowing 3rd Quarter 10-PT Lead vs. Hawks: “Vogel Lost Us This Game.”

The Los Angeles Lakers can’t catch a break and lost the third consecutive game. Following two disappointing losses against the Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, the Purple and Gold landed in Atlanta trying to beat Trae Young and co.

Until the end of the third quarter, it looked like the Lakers would bounce back after Friday night’s loss, but the Hawks took over, dismantled the visitors, and won their 7th straight match.

The Lakers entered the 4th quarter with a 101-91 favorable result, but the Hawks didn’t give up and outscored them 38-20 in the final quarter to get the 129-121 win.

As usual, after every game, fans had something to say about the 17-time NBA champions. Even with Anthony Davis returning to action today, they couldn’t hold to their advantage to get past the inspired Hawks.

Lakers fans are constantly stressed about their team. They don’t seem to be able to turn things around and this situation only gets worse by the day. They are now asking for plenty of trades to see if that changes anything on the court, as well as Frank Vogel’s firing.

Malik Monk and Anthony Davis were the best players for the Purple and Gold, scoring 33 and 27 points, respectively. Russell Westbrook finished with 20.

On the other end, Trae Young dropped 36 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 12 assists. John Collins added 20 points and 11 rebounds, ruining the Lakers’ plans to return to winning ways this Sunday. With the loss, the Californians rank 9th in the Western Conference, three games below the .500 mark (24-27).
