Giannis Antetokounmpo was surprised when he realized the number of reporters that attended his press conference. Following a painful defeat against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night, the Milwaukee Bucks were heavily criticized by fans around the league.

Antetokounmpo is well aware that this is a long race and the Bucks are just fine if they lose big games and still stay in the top 3 of the Eastern Conference. The Greek forward has never lost confidence in his talents or his team and it really shows. However, when he feels people doubt them, he’s ready to fire back.

During a recent press conference, Giannis was shocked when he saw that a lot of reporters missed it, and took a cheeky dig at them.

“Once you start losing a few games… Only the real ones are here. I hope it’s this many people also when we win a championship.”

Still, the player knows that some things must change for them if they want to compete for a championship again. He’s playing at an MVP level again and that’s always great news for Milwaukee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Gets Real On Bucks’ Recent Bad Results

Giannis has made it clear that the Bucks will be fine since they know they are going to lose some games but will also win much more. He’s not panicking about that, even though he has a hard time processing losses.

“Have you ever seen the scene from Spongebob where he goes into his brain and he goes crazy and started burning things? I feel like that sometimes, when we lose I feel that,” Giannis said. “But when it happens it’s like no, it’s okay. We are going to lose some games and we are going to win a lot of games. And even though we have not built the perfect habits, we are still second [third] in the East. That’s scary to me. I believe when everybody gets acclimated, people know their role, Joe is feeling good and making plays and Khris come back and Khris is being a mad motherf**ker and we are playing and having fun, I’ll take my chances with those guys any day…”

The Bucks are ready to return to the Finals after a painful exit from the 2022 NBA playoffs. They are in a good position to compete right now, and if they make the adjustments, there will be no stopping them. The competition in the East is fierce, but the Greek Freak already knows what it takes to win and go through everybody in the conference to reach the Finals.
