Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the game, and he showed that he can win at the highest level. Going into this season, the Milwaukee Bucks will hope that Giannis Antetokounmpo can lead them to a title once again.

When talking to SiriusXM NBA Radio, Giannis Antetokounmpo revealed that it will only get harder for the Milwaukee Bucks to win more championships and that his personal next step will be to simply “keep getting better”. That’s a great mindset: some players would be satisfied with winning a championship, but Antetokounmpo isn’t resting on his laurels.

Get better. Keep getting better. It’s never gonna get easier. Every year I come back it always gets tougher. Guarding me better. They know my game.

As a player you always say “How can I do what I do easier?”. Instead of going in the paint and falling down on the floor 10 times a game and people hitting… How can I make it easier? How can I make a few jump shots…

I improved my free throw shooting so my game can become easier and I can do it for a long time. I can do it for not 32 minutes but 40 minutes.

That’s the part that you can make easier. But to win a championship… never becomes easier. It always becomes harder. First one ok. Second one might be harder. Third one might be even harder.

It’s all about getting better for me. Helping my team in anyway possible… hopefully we can put ourselves in position to win another one.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is clearly ready to build on his championship run and develop some aspects of his game further. He talked about making “a few jump shots”, and perhaps we’ll see an improved perimeter game from Giannis Antetokounmpo this year.

It remains to be seen if the Milwaukee Bucks are able to win again, but some have them repeating their feat and potentially getting better. They are certainly a top-tier contender, and while there may be better teams on paper, the Milwaukee Bucks shouldn’t be counted out.
