Stephen Curry had a cold start to the season against the Los Angeles Lakers, shooting only 5-21 from the field and 2-8 from the 3PT line. It was not the most efficient performance, but Curry did end up getting a triple-double and helping his team to a win.

More recently, Stephen Curry had an exact opposite game, exploding for 45 points against the Los Angeles Clippers in a win. He shot 16-25 from the field and 8-13 from beyond the arc, having a major bounce back from his shooting night against the Lakers with another win, moving the Warriors up to 2-0 on the season.

When asked about him being able to score far more efficiently after a bad shooting night against the Lakers, Stephen Curry simply revealed that he is “never worried” about his shot. It makes sense that the greatest shooter of all time wouldn’t be worried about his most lethal weapon. There was never any doubt that Stephen Curry would shoot better as the season went along.

I’m never worried about my shot. Ever.

The Golden State Warriors will need Stephen Curry’s hot shooting to continue throughout the course of the entire season. If he can replicate what he did during 2020-21, Curry will once again be in the MVP talks. With Klay Thompson returning around Christmas, the Warriors will hope that Curry can keep the afloat until then. Once Klay Thompson comes back though, the Warriors will hope to get back into contention.

It remains to be seen how well the Golden State Warriors do, but it’s definitely been a positive start to their year. Hopefully, they are able to keep up that momentum, and eventually make the playoffs at the end of the season. The Warriors haven’t been to the playoffs in two years, but perhaps they will be able to return for the 2021-22 playoffs.
