Ja Morant Wants 1 Billion Likes To Compete In The NBA All-Star Dunk Contest

Ja Morant is one of the best young point guards in the league, and there's no doubt that he's had a fantastic season with the Memphis Grizzlies. His electric athleticism has definitely impressed fans and analysts alike. Currently, Ja Morant is averaging 27.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 6.7 APG.

There's no doubt that this is an MVP-type season from Ja Morant. However, he was not part of the top-5 MVP candidates in the recent MVP ladder. With some players, they would feel slighted by that.

However, it seems as though Ja Morant has his sights set on a bigger goal. When responding to a fan that suggested he is the MVP, Ja Morant claimed that he wants "a ring", rather than the MVP. He did however add that the Memphis Grizzlies should get the COTY, DPOY, and MIP this season.

It makes sense that Ja Morant would be all about team goals rather than individual accolades. He previously shouted out his teammates when a reporter tried to single him out as "must-watch TV", and it is clear that he wants his teammates to get credit for the team's success.

Even though he's had a fantastic year, it's hard to see Ja Morant winning the MVP this season. He has missed a fair amount of time this year, and there are other players such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid who are also on winning teams and deserve the award.

Ja Morant is currently out with some knee soreness, and the Memphis Grizzlies will need their superstar back to make some noise in the playoffs. There are definitely some people who underestimate the Grizzlies due to their relative lack of experience, but they are certainly a tough squad on both ends. Perhaps we'll see them make a deep playoff run this season.
