This season, the Philadelphia 76ers are one of the best teams in not only the Eastern Conference but the entire league. Similar is the case for the Phoenix Suns, who currently have the best record in the league.

On Sunday night the two amazing teams faced off against one another and it was a thrilling game. Some even labeled it as potentially a preview of the 2022 NBA Finals. Well, talking about the game, the Suns came out victorious in a closely fought battle.

At the end of the buzzer, the scoreline stood at 114-104 in favor of Devin Booker and Chris Paul’s team. While D-Book was the star of the game, 76ers’ All-Star center Joel Embiid gave his best to help his team win the game.

Unfortunately, Embiid’s efforts weren’t enough as his teammate James Harden had an underwhelming game. Although Harden finished the game with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, he had an incredibly inefficient game.

The Beard shot just 2-11 from the field and on top of that he turned the ball over twice. Despite Harden’s terrible game, a fan on Twitter surprisingly called out Joel Embiid alongside NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins. The fan tweeted:

“Yo, @KendrickPerkins did a team with nothing to play for but pride just embarrass your preferred MVP candidates in back to back games??? @DevinBook is THE MVP, will go down as the best Suns player of all time & a top 5 most complete player ever. You wrong! Carry the hell on…”

The fan used Perkins’ signature style of tweeting and highly praised Booker. Upon seeing the tweet, Perkins replied to the fan with some facts which can be interpreted as calling out James Harden too.

“Didn’t Embiid have 37 and 15? He can’t help that James Harden keep disappearing in big games!”

Considering James Harden essentially forced his way out of Brooklyn Nets to join Philly, it is unacceptable for him to play this badly in important games.

Come playoff time, such mistakes can be very costly and ultimately play a vital role in the 76ers potentially getting knocked out of the postseason.
