Klay Thompson Says Draymond Green Is The Best Defender In NBA History: “Best Defender I’ve Ever Seen. He Makes All Our Jobs Sooooooo Much Easier.”

The race to claim the number one spot in the Western Conference is really between two teams as of now, The Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors. Speaking of the Warriors, they are currently second in the West with an impressive record of 25-6.

While the biggest credit to their success goes to Stephen Curry, who is having an MVP caliber season, Draymond Green has been quite essential to the success of the Dubs as well. The 31-year-old has been doing what he does best, which is being a defensive leader for the team.

In fact, he recently claimed the top spot in the NBA’s current Defensive Player of the Year ranking. This was something that Draymond needed to back up his astonishing comments about being the best defender in NBA history. Green is without a doubt a great defender, some might even say one of the best that we have seen in the modern era.

But ranking him as the best defender in NBA history? That is a bit of a stretch. Most people agree with that, but his teammate and Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson seems to deny that fact. Instead, Klay believes that Draymond Green is indeed the best defender in NBA history.

“Best defender I’ve ever seen,” Klay wrote on his Instagram story. “He makes all our jobs sooooooo much easier. And his game LEVELS UP when it’s PLAYOFF time aka winning time.”

Well, it seems that Klay is convinced about where Draymond is in the list of top defenders. He has placed him on the top and praised his teammate for stepping up during the postseason.

Whether someone agrees with Klay or not, one thing is absolutely true is that Green does make the job of his teammates easier. For the Warriors players, it must be reassuring to know that someone of Green’s caliber is constantly giving his 100% to defending at an elite level.

With Klay Thompson all set to return to the team very soon, it will further improve the Warriors’ game. If they continue to play at their current level, fans might also see them lifting another NBA trophy soon.
