Kyrie Irving is one of the most gifted basketball players to ever play in the NBA. The sheer amount of talent that he possesses is simply something that athletes wish to have in them.
Moreover, during his first few years in the league, Irving was a fan favorite and was slowly improving his skills with each passing season. Unfortunately, after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie’s career has started to go downhill.
No offense to his game, he is still one of the best players in the league, but now there is a clause attached to it. Which is, if Kyrie plays, then he is one of the top players in the league.
Since leaving the Cavs, he has missed a lot of games for various reasons. Be it injuries or him being stubborn about a cause, the list goes on and on. But most thought that he will at least bring one championship to the Brooklyn Nets alongside his best friend Kevin Durant.
He has already spent three seasons with the Nets and is yet to fulfill that promise. There was hope that he could do it next season, but Kevin Durant demanded a trade out of nowhere.
Which has led most NBA fans and experts to believe that Uncle Drew’s days are numbered in Brooklyn. So much so that fans believe that Kyrie has recently posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account.
Although it might look like a simple promotion of Kyrie’s clothing brand “Her Kai And I”, fans believe that’s not the case. They even started flooding the comments section of the post with requests for Irving to join the Lakers.

It is pretty evident that Lakers fans want Kyrie to join their team. After a poor 2021-22 NBA campaign, the Lakers are in need of a player of Irving’s caliber to help them possibly win an NBA Championship.
There is some good news for the Purple and Gold fans. As per an NBA insider, the Lakers are currently negotiating a trade for Irving. They are ready to send a few future picks along with Russell Westbrook to make things work. So keep your fingers crossed, Lakers fans Kyrie might soon be a Laker.
