LeBron James has been, once again, the most important player on his team this season. Even though he just turned 37 and is playing his 19th season in the NBA, The King is still extremely reliable and the Los Angeles Lakers have gotten so many benefits from that.

That’s not a promising situation for the Lakers since Bron has too many responsibilities on the court. The day he misses a game, things will get scary for the rest of the squad. Still, he keeps giving his everything on the court and making sure everybody around him is better.

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak around the league, the Lakers had to make some changes on the lineup, stumbling into the perfect player for a small-ball game plan. LeBron James took over as center over Dwight Howard, an injured Anthony Davis, and DeAndre Jordan. The King has exceeded in that position, and the Lakers are undefeated whenever he plays at the five.

As Lakers Film Room recently noted, the Purple and Gold are 5-0 when LeBron starts at center, averaging nearly 130 points per game.

The Lakers are 5-0 when LeBron starts at center and averaging 127 points in those games.

Just when people thought this team would be a disaster for the remainder of the season, Frank Vogel has found an interesting alternative to make them a competitive squad. Fans agree that Bron at center is fun to watch and gives his team an advantage over opponents.

This is great news for the Lakers and terrible ones for the rest of the league. Even though we have talented big men around the association, LeBron playing that position will be a tough task for whoever tries to stop him. This has also helped Russell Westbrook’s game, who looked ready to finally unleash his power and be the player Lakers Nation wanted him to be.

If this team keeps this current rhythm, the Western Conference will get a lot more interesting. Anthony Davis is yet to return to the court and his presence could be more impactful once he comes back. LeBron always finds a way and it seems like this time it came in form of him playing at center.
