LeBron James is not just a basketball player. He is one of the most notable men in the world in terms of his popularity and business interests. James is already set for life after basketball, which means he is still playing because he is motivated to stay in the league and win more titles.

His platform is expansive, as he is easily the most recognizable active basketball player in the world. He has previously used this platform to create his own ways of communicating with the world, including forming a talk show called ‘The Shop’, where James and Maverick Carter chat with different people excelling in other fields.

During Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics, LeBron decided to tweet about making a possible podcast appearance, possibly starting a podcast in his name to talk about it. LeBron’s last major podcast appearance came after the 2020 Championship on Richard Jefferson’s ‘Road Trippin‘ show.

LeBron has been a believer in players creating their own platforms for ages and even created a media network called ‘UNINTERRUPTED’ to make sure players have control over their own voice and don’t need channels like ESPN or TNT to misconstrue their words and make stories out of them.

People are wondering what LeBron’s teased podcast will be about, but it probably won’t be heavy on basketball talk right now. LeBron already tweeted about Brittney Griner‘s detainment in Russia and it seems he will be focusing his attention on getting her home safe right now.

There is a lot of socio-political turmoil outside basketball that James will most likely feel like talking about, but he probably will address the ongoing NBA Finals. LBJ is a student of the game but also wants to serve a larger purpose with his billion-dollar wealth and immense following.
