LaVar Ball was pretty close to seeing his dream become a reality.

In 2017, Lonzo was drafted by the Lakers and while he has not yet lived up to the hype he received coming out of college, the guy has become a quality starting-level guard in the league.
Eventually, LaMelo came along and, right away, showed flashes of stardom. He still has a lot to prove as a pro, but his future certainly seems bright.

His most recent stint was with the Hornets, where it looked like he might finally get his big break. Ultimately, though, Charlotte cut him at the last second, and he remains unsigned.
It's been a while since we've heard from LiAngelo, but some footage did surface of him putting in some work at the gym -- an encouraging sign for guys who just want to see him succeed.
There is still plenty of time for him to earn a spot in the league, and if he keeps working, it might not be long before he gets another chance.
