Luka Doncic and Zion Williamson are probably two of the most talented players from the 2018 and 2019 draft classes, respectively. Playing for the Dallas Mavericks and the New Orleans Pelicans, respectively, both Doncic and Zion have shown why they were top 4 picks in their drafts.
But both the players have made their marks in different ways. While Luka is a ball-dominant guard who is a multi-level scorer and a fantastic playmaker, Zion has showcased that he is a physically dominant forward and is willing to score through contact. Not only that, but Williamson also showcased that he is very agile and fast for his size.
Recently both Doncic and Zion were seen attending an event in Paris. There, Luka was asked what aspects of Zion's game he wanted to have. The Slovenian's initial reaction was hilarious, to say the least.
“I have the same bounce, so I wouldn’t take the bounce.”
"The speed and bounce is something (I'll take)."
Both Zion and Luka will be entering the 2022 season with the goal of becoming contenders. While the Pelicans showed that they could make it to the playoffs without their superstar, Williamson will hope that he can elevate the team to the next level and probably make them a top team in the Western Conference.
Luka and the Mavericks, meanwhile are coming off of an appearance in the Conference Finals. As usual, it was the Doncic show for the majority of the playoffs. In order to take the next step in the right direction, the franchise will have to add more arsenal to their side. The team has already added Christian Wood, but the center won't be enough if the Mavs want to become a title contender.
Given the situation both the players find themselves in, who do you think will win the championship sooner?
