NBA Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Rejected An Indiana Pacers Offer For Ben Simmons

After a complex season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons was the man of the moment in the city, and not precisely for the best reasons.

The Australian point guard didn’t play well in the playoffs, and his shooting struggles hurt his team’s chances to make a deeper run in the postseason. He’s under fire now, with fans asking for his exit. Simmons vowed to get better this offseason, even skipping the upcoming Summer Olympics to improve his game, but that doesn’t mean he’s staying in Philly.

His agent reportedly dropped the idea of trading Simmons away from Philly, but the team is waiting before making a final decision. Still, rival teams started making offers for this man.

Jason Dumas reports that the Indiana Pacers offered a package for the point guard, but the Sixers rejected it.

“The Sixers have already fielded offers for Ben Simmons but continue to hold a stance that they will only trade him for an all-star caliber player. They most recently turned down a deal with the Pacers that included Malcolm Brogdon and a 1st round pick.”

Philadelphia wants to get something good in return for Simmons, and this offer wasn’t compelling to them. The 24-year-old can be a valuable piece for any team in the league, but of course, he’ll need to bring more to the table.

This season didn’t end the best way for him, but Ben can change that. After Paul George and more players had their revenge season this year, it’s not hard to believe that Simmons can do the same.
