P.J. Tucker After Seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo As A Teammate For The First Time: “I Don’t Have To Go Against You No More.”

1 Min Read

The acquisition of P.J. Tucker was a pretty big move for the Bucks, who are doing everything they can to bring home an NBA Championship this season.

Of course, for Tucker, it also came with a pretty nice perk: not having to guard Giannis Antetokounmpo (who is now his teammate) in a game again. In a recent interview with reporters, the newest Buck revealed one of the first things he said to Giannis upon seeing him as a teammate:

Indeed, Tucker and Giannis have always had some fierce and competitive matchups — no doubt because of the skillset and passion both of them play with.

Together, there’s really no telling what they could do. Tucker, a typical 3-and-D veteran, makes the perfect pairing next to Giannis, who (when he’s not scoring himself) often finds open teammates for looks on the perimeter.

From competitors to partners, it will be interesting to see how things play out for them over the next few weeks.
