Shannon Sharpe recently stumbled upon a list of 28 places that women refuse to go on a first date and was left stunned by it. Sharpe shared the list on Nightcap and wondered out loud where you can even take a woman now.

“Cheesecake Factory, Applebees, Chipotle, Olive Garden, the movies, your house, any fast food chain, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop, Red Lobster, a buffet, IHOP, Denny’s, the gym, church… Starbucks, coffee date, ice cream dates, family functions, movie night… somewhere that requires a long drive, bowling, nightclub, hookah bars, a bar just for drinks, Waffle House, sports events,” Sharpe listed. “Damn. Where can we take you?”

That indeed doesn’t leave you with too many options. Sharpe certainly had no idea where he’d take someone if all of these options were off the list. He once spoke about taking a woman out to a restaurant back in 1990, and something that simple doesn’t work today, according to that list.

A puzzled Sharpe would have his fears allayed by his co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson later. Johnson believes this list only applies to men whom women don’t actually like.

“None of this matters,” Johnson said. “That list is cool. That list is for the dudes that she really doesn’t like. I don’t like you, so I’mma set a certain set of rules that you can’t break. But if it’s the dudes that I do like, it don’t matter what we doing.”

It’s not often that Johnson gets called the voice of reason on this podcast, but he was on this instance. Sharpe and Joe Johnson both agreed with his theory.

“I’m from a country town, Joe,” Sharpe stated. “You pick your girl up, and you just drive around the city. You had a pickup truck, or she sit up under you. We drive around to the stoplight, you know, we go to the Dairy Queen or Hardies or something like that. Maybe grab a movie.”

While Sharpe tends to run his mouth a lot, his relationships are one topic he has been relatively tight-lipped about. He was reportedly engaged to fitness trainer and nutrition coach Katy Kellner, but they didn’t tie the knot.

Sharpe has never gotten married, but does have three children: Kiari, Kayla, and Kaley. The identity of Kayla and Kaley’s mother is unknown, but he had Kiari with a woman named Erika Evans.

All certainly wasn’t always well between them, as Sharpe once faced misdemeanor battery charges for removing Evans from his home. That’s not the only time, of course, that the NFL icon has found himself in trouble with the law.

Sharpe was recently accused of sexual assault by an OnlyFans model. He ended up settling the $50 million lawsuit, but was fired by ESPN after that. Sharpe is a full-time podcaster now, and you doubt if he will ever get to return to television.
