In Clipper land, we all know Kawhi Leonard is the man. He's a 2x Champion, 5x All-Star, and 2x Finals MVP.
But just because he is L.A.'s best player, does it mean he's their most important? In most cases, the answer would be yes. According to Shaquille O'Neal, however, it's actually Paul George who holds that title.
“For the Clippers, Kawhi is the best player on team, but most important guy is the Playoff P. Playoff P plays like he played the other night, it will be tie. It’s all going to be on Playoff P’s shoulders tomorrow.”
Paul George often gets a lot of flack for being inconsistent on the offensive end. Over his past two years in L.A., he has shown up small during the team's most important games.
So far, this postseason, he is changing that narrative. He has scored 20, 27, and 31 points in the first three games of the series against Utah, and that's after helping to lead his team to a series victory against the Mavericks.
Going forward, PG will have to continue that performance if he wants his team to win against the West's top seed.
The world will be waiting, and watching, to see if he rises to the occasion.
