LeBron James Responds To Russell Westbrook's Massive Shooting Slump: "Just Keep Working."

The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled all season, and have performed far below the expectations many had for the team. One would think that a team with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis would be competing for the title, rather than being in the play-in tournament.

There have been some who have suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers could potentially put it together over a stretch of games and become a good team. However, it seems as though that is not the opinion of Stephen A. Smith.

Stephen A. Smith has recently claimed that the Los Angeles Lakers' season is a first-round exit. He also stated that he doesn't see the Lakers beating some of the best teams in the Western Conference such as the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns.

Their ceiling is the playoffs and a first round exit. I don't see them beating Golden State, they ain't beating Phoenix. They ain't beating Memphis. They ain't beating Utah. Hell, they might even have a problem with Dallas for crying out loud. Let's not forget the Denver Nuggets... The point is, when we look at the Los Angeles Lakers, they'll be lucky to make it past the play-in tournament... it should be an expectation that they should at least make the first round. You do have LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers will end up getting out of the play-in tournament. Their lack of depth has hurt them a lot during the regular season, but depth matters less in playoff-type games where rotations shorten.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers find some way to improve. They do have a decent amount of talent on the roster, but they have simply not been able to develop any chemistry. Perhaps that will change in the future, but time is running out for them to make it all work.
