Things with the Brooklyn Nets seem to be sorted now after the stars and the organization recently spoke to journalists on media day. Kevin Durant admitted that he understood why the Nets could not fulfill his trade request and explained precisely why he felt the need to put one in, to begin with. And Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons both spoke about getting back onto the floor and focusing on basketball next season.

But obviously, the situation remains a bit more complex than that. Some things happened during the saga that will be harder to move past, like KD asking for Sean Marks and Steve Nash to be let go. That’s the kind of thing that opens up rifts that are hard to heal, even when the organization decides to move on together.

So many have wondered how exactly Steve Nash himself feels about it. Nash came to Brooklyn specifically to work with Kevin Durant, so asking for him to be fired was a curveball many didn’t expect. And the Head Coach of the Nets has now shared his point of view.

Steve Nash Spoke About His Issues With Kevin Durant And Said The Two Are On Good Terms

Nash is a legend of the game in his own right, but he hasn’t had much coaching experience before the Nets’ job at all. Regardless, he seems to be handling it with maturity. He spoke about how things are between him and KD, and his words were shared by Yardbarker.com.

“We’re fine,” Nash said following Brooklyn’s practice on Tuesday. “Ever since we talked, it’s been like nothing’s changed. I have a long history with Kevin. I love the guy. Families have issues. We had a moment and it’s behind us. That’s what happens. It’s a common situation in the league.

“I never thought that was 100 percent,” Nash said. “There was a lot of things. It’s not black and white like that, so there was a lot of factors. A lot of things behind the scenes. A lot of things reported are not accurate.

“I’m going to hear it from Kevin when the time is right. I’m going to talk to Sean, I’m going to talk to all the parties involved. So you just work through it step by step. You don’t overreact. We stay calm and work on communication and facts and here we are.”

It’s excellent to see that nash is approaching the situation calmly and without reacting too much, that will be key for Brooklyn moving forward. And if they can all figure out a way to get past this and come together as a team, that might just spell trouble for the rest of the league.
