Toronto Raptors Have The Best Regular Season In Franchise History Even Without Kawhi Leonard

Plenty of people were convinced the Toronto Raptors were done after Kawhi Leonard left the franchise to join the Los Angeles Clippers last year. The Klaw led the Raptors to their first-ever championship in front of the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 Finals, leaving nothing but good memories in Toronto.

However, his departure led people to think this team was done but they proved that's not the case. As a matter of fact, the Raptors exceeded expectations, finishing 2nd in the Eastern Conference and looking like one of the biggest favorites to come out the East this season. Nick Nurse has done a terrific job with his squad and to confirm that the Raptors finished the regular season with the highest winning rate in franchise history.

With a 53-19 record, the Canadians finished the campaign with a .736 winning percentage, beating the .720% they had in 2017/18 when Dwane Casey was still the head coach of the team.

Contrary to what many people believed, they did a great job, with Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam leading the way, with a core of talented players and great teamwork. They are a big threat to the favorites Lakers, Clippers and Bucks. Don't sleep on these Raptors. They already shocked the world last season and this season they could repeat the feat.
