NBA Fans Are Pissed Off After ESPN Compared Zion Williamson And Michael Jordan

2 Min Read

The Zion Williamson hype doesn’t stop, not even after the New Orleans Pelicans rookie was highly criticized for his weight during the NBA bubble. Zion is set to return in the best possible shape next season but it seems like ESPN is missing the 20-year-old and are finding new ways to keep Zion present.

One of the latest things they did was comparing Williamson to none other than the GOAT, Michael Jordan. They shared a graphic showing the most points per game through the first 24 NBA games. First, it was His Airness with 24.8 PPG, followed very closely by Williamson with 22.5 points per outing. This picture didn’t please anybody and fans were quick to call out ESPN for their post, asking them to stop comparing Zion with MJ.

It looks like they went too far this time. Sure, Zion is expected to do big things and he was great before the shutdown, but he still has things to prove in the league so it’s a little too early to compare him with the greatest player of all time. Let’s give him some time before putting him up with the greatest players this game has seen.

The future is bright for him if he makes the right decisions and takes care of his body, so perhaps we’ll be talking about the GOAT Zion in a couple of years.
