The Inside the NBA crew is constantly looking for new ideas to troll the hosts. Charles Barkley is their favorite victim, as they’re trying out new tricks to get a good laugh at the expense of the 1993 NBA MVP.
During the same night Shaquille O’Neal wrestled with him, Chuck was also trolled by the crew with a hilarious edit where he reunites with an old friend in Cancun. They took an excerpt from Shawshank Redemption, one of the best movies of all time, putting Chuck’s face on Morgan Freeman’s body, who is finally a free man and can meet his friend on the beach.
When he arrives at the place, he finds Kevin Durant with his face on Tim Robbins’ body, waiting for his friend. During the scene, they used the iconic closing voice-over monologue from Freeman, which makes things a lot funnier:
Get busy livin’, or get busy dyin’. That’s goddamn right. For the second time in my life, I am guilty of committing a crime. Parole violation. Of course, I doubt they’ll toss up any roadblocks for that. Not for an old crook like me…
I find I’m so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it’s the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

This is one of the most hilarious edits from the NBA on TNT crew, for sure. They had already raised the bar really high with the Brooklyn Nets bus, but now things have reached the next level. This was the end of the season for Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson. Chuck wanted to go fish after the Warriors-Mavericks series was over and now he got his wish granted.
He’s not on the best terms with Kevin Durant, so perhaps this video can help them make amends and squash their beef again.
