Nick Wright Makes His All-NBA Teams And Award Predictions

3 Min Read

Nick Wright isn’t the most beloved person in the NBA community but the sports analyst doesn’t seem to care a lot about that. He keeps making bold claims regarding NBA-related topics and creating controversy whenever he has the chance. In recent hours, he predicted his All-NBA teams and the award winners for this season.

The biggest debate here is who should win the MVP. A lot of people are convinced that Giannis is the rightful winner but others have made the case for LeBron James. Even though Wright recently made some bold statements about LeBron and his status in the league, he went with Giannis on this one.

However, that didn’t prevent him from making other remarks that raised a lot of eyebrows.

All-NBA First Team:

Luka Doncic, James Harden, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis

All-NBA Second Team:

Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam, Nikola Jokic

All-NBA Third Team:

Ben Simmons, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, Khris Middleton, Bam Adebayo

MVP race: 1. Giannis Antetokounmpo, 2. LeBron James, 3. Chris Paul, 4. Luka Doncic, 5. James Harden

DPOY: Giannis Antetokounmpo

ROTY: Ja Morant

6MOTY: Montrezl Harrell

MIP: Luka Doncic

COTY: Nick Nurse

Picking CP3 as third in the MVP ballot is a lot. He was trying to make the case for CP3 as part an All-NBA this year, explaining how good Paul has done with OKC, a team with little to no expectations this year after losing Paul George and Russell Westbrook last season. Yes, CP3 has done great this season but it’s also worth noting that he’s playing in a 3-guard system that Billy Donovan mastered and that has brought a lot of good things.

He’s served as a mentor for the younger players but putting him as a top 3 player this season is a stretch. Nick also put CP3 ahead of Luka Doncic in the MVP race yet he’s behind the Dallas Mavericks guard on All-NBA teams.

The rest of the picks, you can make the case for anybody else, but Wright always manages to bring some controversy to any conversation.
