Penny Hardaway On Who Is The GOAT: “Michael Is The GOAT And LeBron Is Not Too Far Behind.”

2 Min Read

The GOAT debate is always a hot topic around the NBA and even when things seem to cool off, somebody shows up giving their opinion on who is the greatest basketball player of all time. This is the case with Penny Hardaway, an Orlando Magic icon and one of the biggest ‘what-ifs’ in NBA history.

The former point guard recently talked with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on FS1’s Undisputed, where he talked about his relationship with Shaquille O’Neal, how he believes he would have won one or two titles with the Big Diesel and more. When talking about the GOAT debate, he sided with Bayless, going with Michael Jordan but making it clear LeBron is not too far from His Airness.

“Honestly, I’d hate to compare guys, but right now, to me, Michael is the GOAT and LeBron is not far behind. It’s just my opinion.”

Just like Hardaway, a lot of people think the same about this issue. Maybe not now but once his career is over, LeBron James would be considered the greatest player of all time, surpassing the Chicago Bulls legend.

Dwyane Wade shared this sentiment recently, stating that LeBron has done a lot of good things in his career and it’s hard not to put him in the conversation. However, for him and Hardaway, MJ is still the greatest to ever do it. As stated before, this is a never-ending debate and people will continue discussing this and try to make their points and their cases for their favorite players.
