Russell Westbrook On The Challenge Of The Lakers: “I Never Worry About The Other Team”

The Houston Rockets have eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder from playoffs contention and now their focus is on a different team. The Los Angeles Lakers are seen as one of the favorite teams to win the championship this year and of course, the challenge will be harder for the Texans. That doesn’t seem to bother Russell Westbrook, who advanced to the second round of the postseason for the first time in four years.

Westbrook and Harden have created a good duo in Houston and even though they failed to score as they’re used to in Game 7 vs. the Thunder, they impacted the game on defense during clutch time. Russ is now ready to take on the Lakers and he enters the series with no worries.

After the game, Russ talked about the Rockets’ next rivals, claiming that he never worries about that, showing confidence ahead of the big series.

“I think when play the way we need to play, it’s tough to beat us. So our job now is to focus on how we can adjust to that series I would say. They are a good. They’ve been a good team all year long,” Westbrook said.

The LeBron James-led Lakers easily eliminated the Portland Trail Blazers after losing Game 1. They are on a mission, they were the #1 seed in the West and they are rested. The Rockets will try to beat all of that and several people believe they have a chance against the purple and gold.

Game 1 is set to take place on Friday night and we can’t wait to see what these two will bring to the table. This time, Russ should worry about their rivals.
