Steph Curry’s Cryptic Response On The Warriors Not Trading For Ben Simmons: “If You’re Not Having Those Conversations, Then You’re Not Trying.”

When it comes to the Golden State Warriors, do not be fooled. Despite the abundance of bright, young talent they currently have on the roster, the team is very much in win-now mode — the presence of a healthy Steph Curry ensures that much.

Their chances to make some serious noise this upcoming campaign certainly appear to be high. So long as the Warriors have Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson together, they’ll always be relevant.

Still, there is a sense that the team isn’t doing enough to convince their veterans that they’re committed to building a team ready to compete now.

With training camp approaching, the Warriors have yet to make any big moves many thought they would. Taking notice of his team’s inactivity, Steph Curry had some rather interesting thoughts to share in an appearance on the “Brother From Another” podcast.

“If you’re not having those conversations, then you’re not trying,” Curry told Michael Smith and Michael Holley. “Let’s put it that way.”

Steph did not give any particular names on players he wants the Dubs to pursue, it’s no secret that he has been pushing for the front office to go out and trade for another star. Back in July, the target was Bradley Beal.

Some on the Golden State Warriors are watching closely the next move of Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal. Should he become available, he’s at the top of the offseason wishlist.

The Warriors’ trio of stars — Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson — have made it clear to management they want the franchise to focus on the pursuit of a championship, even to consider using their two lottery picks to get someone who can help immediately, sources confirmed. Warriors general manager Bob Myers said their goal this offseason is to add more of a veteran presence.

Of course, things have leaned more towards Ben Simmons over the past few weeks. With rumors confirming he wants out, the Warriors are in a pretty good position to get him.

We’ll see if they decide to take action.
