In the defeat against the Chicago Bulls, Stephen Curry had an off-night according to his standards. Curry recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, which was certainly not enough to help the Warriors seal the game.
Following the loss, Curry was asked about his take on why the Warriors have failed to remain consistent so far this season.

“I mean, we just haven’t proven that we’re a consistent team. We come in with a focus of how we’re going to win that specific game and we talk about a lot of this, about us and how we approach the game. It was like 25 and 10 at one point. I had two terrible turnovers and they got break away layups. They made some easy threes and you look up and you’ve spotted them 15. We have enough that we can come back and make a game interesting and take a lead into halftime. But we just haven’t proven that we’re intelligent enough or play hard enough or focus enough to string a couple of good games that build that momentum. So until we do we’re just going to hover around .500 and not break away from the pack.”
The 4x NBA champion took some blame for the defeat against the Bulls. But as for the larger picture, Stephen Curry believes that the Dubs haven’t simply been intelligent enough this season. And until they can do that, they will continue hovering around the .500 record.
Hopefully, Curry’s message gets through to the rest of the Golden State Warriors players so they can bounce back. After all, more than half of the season has already been played, and they are yet to show signs of being consistent.
