The world was rocked yesterday due to the horrific mass shooting that took place in Uvalde, Texas. 19 people, many of whom were young children were fatally shot at an elementary school. The sadness the world has felt over this has been widespread.
Steve Kerr passionately spoke about the situation in the US and implored the leaders of the country to try and rectify things as soon as possible, so no innocent lives are ever lost again through such an act.
Stephen Curry was asked about Steve Kerr’s comments and his reaction to the incident. Curry somberly reflected on what Steve Kerr said, and shared his sympathies with the families grieving the loss of their children.
As a father himself, Curry can’t imagine the pain that the parents would be feeling at the moment. He added that everyone should listen to what Kerr had to say, as he spoke the truth.

“I got kids, send them to school everyday…and you feel for the parents going through what they’re going through. I can’t even imagine the pain. So for coach (Kerr) to come up here and say what he said, every word he said was powerful and meaningful.”
Stephen Curry was clearly rocked by what happened. The mass shooting claimed the lives of 19 people, many of whom were young children. Curry, who has young children of his own, and has been a father for many years now, wanted to share his sympathies with the victims and the families of the victims.
The Warriors played in Texas, close to where the shooting took place, so there was a somber environment during the game for everyone present.
Understandably, with an event as horrific as this, basketball became of less importance on the night, as people were processing what happened in Uvalde.
