Ja Morant is a budding superstar in the NBA, his ceiling as a player is incredible considering his age and talent. However, he has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently and it’s become a massive talking point.

Ja Morant‘s off-court tendencies have some fans worried about him, while others use them to make fun of him. A video recently popped up where Eminem’s epic 8 Mile battle rap was used to troll Morant.

The rap is about someone that is trying to act like they are hard and a part of gang life while not being from that background. This is an accusation that has been leveled at Morant by many people in the past, so it’s no surprise to see that someone made a parody video along those lines.

While it may be intended for laughs, the video is a good reminder for Morant in terms of how he is being perceived by fans at the moment. His incredible feats on the court are what need to be discussed, not what he does off of it. Shannon Sharpe recently gave him some ideal advice to that end, and the hope will be that Ja Morant will be able to take it and implement it.

The List Of Ja Morant’s Off-Court Controversies

This topic has come up in a big way again after reports came out on two incidents in which Ja Morant was involved. The first was an alleged altercation at the mall after his mother argued with a store employee. Morant showed up with a group of friends and it is suggested that threats were made.

The other incident being talked about is of Morant reportedly beating up and threatening a 17-year-old. This has been discredited by Morant’s agent, but the fact that it’s out there is enough for Ja to not come out looking very good.

These reports have come hot on the heels of the situation involving the Indiana Pacers where Morant and his friends seemingly pointed lasers at members of the Pacers organization. And who can forget the time Morant seemingly threatened a fan on Twitter as well?

There is a bit too much smoke to entirely ignore at this point and Morant needs to ensure that the chatter around him remains strictly about basketball for a while so his image isn’t tarnished further.
