Michael Jordan’s Stats During The 1993 NBA Finals Were Unreal

Part of what made Michael Jordan the greatest player of all time is the fact that he never backed down in crunch time and he always showed up in the Finals, leading the Bulls to win six titles shared in two three-peats. MJ was great in each one of those series, but the things he did in 1993 are remarkable.

It’s been discussed what was the best three-peat in Jordan’s career, with some claiming the first one was better for the things he did. If you take a look at his stats, that is true, especially in 1993, where he faced the Phoenix Suns led by Charles Barkley.

During that series, Michael posted ridiculous numbers, even for this era when posting these stats is something common. He played 45.7 minutes per game, scoring 41.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. To make things more impressive he only recorded 2.7 turnovers per game during that series.

From Game 3 through Game 5, Jordan scored 44, 55 and 41 points, respectively, so you know how dominant this man was during that series. Obviously, this earned him the Finals MVP award. The second-best scorer in that Chicago team was Scottie Pippen with 21.2 points per outing. Jordan outscored his teammate for 20 points.

It’s not a secret that MJ was great in the Finals, as he currently sits as the second-best scorer ever in the Finals, boasting 33.6 points per game. This guy was something else, no doubt about it, but NBA fans never stop getting surprised by all the things he did during his active days.
