The 5 Best Destinations For Derrick Rose If He Wants To Win A Championship Next Season

Derrick Rose is one of the most beloved and talented players in NBA history. We’re all rooting for him, we all want him to succeed and finally win an NBA Championship. Injuries derailed his career but he’s still young and productive enough to make it.

  • 1. Golden State Warriors

Rose is the league’s youngest MVP ever. He was the most explosive point guard we had ever seen and one of the strongest, fastest, and most athletic players to ever live. People talk about him as if he’s already 38 and on his way out of the league but he’s just 31.

And, considering that the Detroit Pistons are on the verge of a rebuild, he might as well ask to be traded to a Championship contender while he can still contribute. That’s why today, we’re going to let you know about the top 5 destinations for Derrick Rose if he wants to be a champion next season:

5. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have had plenty of ups and downs throughout and it’s pretty clear that they need to make some moves on their roster if they want to make the most of their superstar duo. Notably, Rose would finally allow them to move Simmons to the power forward spot permanently.

Rose would be a significant upgrade over the other point guards on their roster. They’d have Rose, Embiid, Simmons, Tobias Harris and Al Horford could draw some interest in the trade market as well. They’re on the verge of contending and he may be the missing piece.

4. Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are already pretty stacked in all positions. However, Reggie Jackson is en route to becoming a free agent and he’s likely to demand more money than the Clippers are willing to pay him, thus Rose could slide into his role next to Lou Williams.

Rose could give the Clippers a huge boost off the bench and even start ahead of Patrick Beverley. Moreover, they have enough assets to manage his minutes and keep him fresh for the postseason and he could even sit back-to-backs to avoid injury.

3. Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks are the team to beat in the Eastern Conference and by a long stretch. They have the potential to continue contending for an NBA Championship for many more years to come as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo stays healthy.

The Bucks must convince Giannis to stay and a step in that direction would be adding a couple of pieces around him. Rose would be an upgrade over Eric Bledsoe but could also lead the way in the second unit if needed. Rose, Middleton, and Giannis could rule the East.

2. Los Angeles Lakers

Well, Derrick Rose and LeBron James have always had great respect for each other. Their first stint together didn’t work out the way they planned but James even vowed to get him back in shape and to get him a big contract. That promise may still stand.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the Western Conference’s driving forces. If Anthony Davis extends his stay with the team and LeBron keeps playing at a high level – and we know both things will happen – adding Rose to their roster could make them even better. He’s significantly better than all the point guards on their roster.

1. Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been helping veteran players win Championships over the past 5 years or so. Rose could be the latest addition to that list and more importantly, he could become a major contributor off the bench for Steve Kerr’s team.

The Warriors are going to be back at full strength next season. They’ll have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, and a top-5 pick. Adding Rose to that mix would help them pick up things where they left them and make another run at the Larry O’Brien trophy.
