Joel Embiid Wants To Play With Ben Simmons For The Rest Of His Career

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the teams with more questions to answer entering the NBA restart. This season they were seen as one of the favorites squads to compete and win the Eastern Conference but things weren’t as smooth as they wanted. At some point, several questions raised about Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid playing together, with some rumors suggesting one of them would leave the team at the end of the season.

It looks like Brett Brown has figured a way to relive this team with Embiid and Simmons at the helm. Nobody in Philly wants these two to split and JoJo shares that feeling.

During a recent appearance on The Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, Embiid talked about a variety of topics, including how emotional he was during his first NBA game, the chances the Sixers have to win the title this year, the Kawhi shot and Jimmy Butler and JJ Redick leaving the team, among other things.

Besides, he praised his teammate Simmons for the way he’s improved his game and expressed his desire to play alongside the Aussie point guard for the rest of his NBA career.

“He’s been [shooting 3s], and I’m so happy that he finally understands — and, I think that’s what it takes for us to win a championship. When you think about it, we’ve only played — this is what, our third year together, playing. I mean, a lot of people, you know, they expect. We’ve only played for three years and the potential that we have — I love him, and I want to be with him for the rest of my career, because I think he still has a lot of potential; and me too. We can get so much better than we are.”

This is all that Sixers fans want to hear, especially after all the things that were said regarding the future of the franchise without Simmons or JoJo. He’s ready to compete in the bubble and show everybody what he can do with his teammate. Simmons will show a new facet on his game, playing at point forward, and shooting those 3’s that will take him to the next level in the league.

The Sixers appear to be overlooked during the scrimmage games, but be careful with this team. They didn’t make a good impression before the shutdown but now things can change for them.
