NBA Rumors: Brooklyn Nets Can Land Paul George And Create A Big Three This Offseason

2 Min Read

Following a disappointing second-round season against the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers could be making a major roster overhaul this offseason and any player not named Kawhi Leonard could be saying goodbye really soon. Leonard’s partner in crime, Paul George, could be exiting the team shortly, as his name gets more attention around the league when it comes to trade rumors.

In recent hours, PG was linked with a move away from Los Angeles following a bad first season with the Clips. According to Fox Sports’ Jason McIntyre, the swingman wasn’t the most beloved player in the locker room and it would be shocking if he stays in Los Angeles for the next season.

Moreover, McIntyre reports that one team could be the Brooklyn Nets, who have been reportedly looking for a third star in the last couple of months. Bradley Beal, Joel Embiid and even Jrue Holiday have all been linked with a move to the Barclays Center. Nevertheless, now PG is the one who could land in New York to join forces with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

“I’ve heard, at the exit interviews, Paul George didn’t get ‘rave reviews’ from his teammates. My source would not be shocked if Paul George was shipped out of town and the potential landing is the Brooklyn Nets.”

This offseason has been very moved for the Nets. They hired a new coach in Steve Nash and the expectations are already big for them. They have the assets to get George and become an instant contender in the Eastern Conference. Only time will tell if the Nets land this star, but as things stand right now, he won’t be playing in the Clippers the next year.
