NBA Fans Destroy Kendrick Perkins After He Says Damian Lillard Is The Best Point Guard In The NBA

Kendrick Perkins has gotten used to being criticized by NBA fans for his unique takes. The 2008 NBA champion has earned more hate as an analyst than as a player, which is a lot to say, but he doesn’t seem to have a problem with that. In fact, Perkins appears to enjoy all the bad comments he receives every time he opens his mouth.

During a recent edition of ESPN’s The Jump, Perk was discussing which team between the Phoenix Suns or Portland Trail Blazers were more dangerous with the moves they recently made. The Suns landed Chris Paul in a blockbuster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Blazers acquired Robert Covington from the Houston Rockets.

Perk explained that the Blazers were one of the best teams in the league because they had the ‘best point guards in the NBA’ in Damian Lillard. He explained that CJ McCollum is also an elite guard and the addition of Robert Covington made them nearly unstoppable, as well as having Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic back.

Every fan who saw the video with Perkins’ bold claim reacted to it, calling out Perk for making those comments disrespecting Stephen Curry like he hasn’t been the best point guard in the league and at least one of the best five players over the past five years.

How can y’all argue with a literal basketball player he played in the NBA bro. Lillard is the pest PG In nba right now curry has not even played due to injury

Lebron, KD, Gianiass, Curry.

KD is coming off an injury, (ACL can screw people OVER) so we’ll see, but if we assume he comes back the same, curry is number four.

Who cares there all great rank how u want too doesn’t matter steph has had way better teams than dame has dame carry’s the blazers on his back every year

— Matt Mcilvain (@McilvainMatt) November 18, 2020

We don’t really know what Curry is gonna be like next year. Dame last season was incredible and the sample of Steph we did get without a super team last year he shot 24% from 3 on 49 attempts. Not saying Dame is better but Steph coming back from not playing for a min. We’ll see

How did steph do vs Dame last year?

when you even to crazy for Paul Pierce you know you went too far

— I-M-3 (@illaC_3) November 19, 2020

Even Paul Pierce was shocked by Perkins’ statements, but the former big man wasn’t too bothered by that. He is firm in his positions and beliefs and is willing to go against anybody to defend them, even if that means saying nonsense like this time.
