Kevin Garnett Responds To Kenyon Martin: “Real Bro’s, Real Love. Stop It Internet. Ya’ll Stop It!”

In an article published by former NBA big man Kenyon Martin, he bashed the current status of the league, calling players “soft” and lamenting the extinction of “enforcers” that were once a very popular role in the game.

In the piece, fans paid particular attention to a section where he bashed Kevin Garnett for being a “porch puppy.”

There were some guys like that back when I played, too. Kevin Garnett was a porch puppy — a miniature chihuahua in a Dobermann’s body. I told him to his face, “You’re a porch puppy. All you do is bark.” He never wanted smoke from me. I told him straight up, “You better take your ass back to your huddle before I get mad.” Dahntay Jones heard it; you can ask him.

Needless to say, the NBA community ran with the admittedly harsh words, using it to forge a new rivalry between KG and Martin.

But in a statement made by the former Minnesota star on Instagram, he denied that rhetoric, demanding that social media stop attempting to build up a negative relationship between him and his friend.

Apparently, there’s nothing personal going on between Martin and Garnett, and they seem to actually be kind of close.

Whatever the case, KG doesn’t want this kind of publicity and has been pretty quick to shoot down the notion he has some kind of problem with his former opponent.

When it comes to Ray Allen, though, things certainly seem to be a whole lot more complicated.
