NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Should Offer 5 Players For Zach LaVine And Create A Big Three

Zach LaVine is on fire right now. He is averaging 28.3 PPG and is one of the best players in the Eastern Conference this season. LaVine’s scoring output has been the only shining light for the Chicago Bulls, who are entering a very concerning run for the future. Even if the young Bulls players such as Lauri Markkanen blossom, the Bulls won’t be competing for a title anytime soon.

By acquiring the young and talented players on the Lakers roster, the Chicago Bulls can swap LaVine for future assets which put them in a position to tank and get even more assets. More importantly for the Lakers, they must compete with the Brooklyn Nets who just acquired James Harden to pair with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. For the Lakers, Zach LaVine puts them over the top as the favorites in the West for the NBA Finals and guarantees equal footing with Brooklyn’s trio of stars.

Zach LaVine also made it clear that his dream teammate is LeBron James because The King’s unselfishness will elevate LaVine’s game tremendously. Here is why the trade makes sense for both teams.

Trade Package: Kyle Kuzma, Talen Horton-Tucker, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Alex Caruso, 2027 first-round pick for Zach LaVine

The Los Angeles Lakers Acquire The Third Star To Form A Dynasty

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are enough to make the Lakers championship favorites every single year until The King retires. LeBron does everything on the court at a superstar level and Anthony Davis is the best big man in the league. With the likes of Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder on the squad as well, the Lakers are easily the most intimidating team in the league when they play well.

But a star like Zach LaVine officially completes a Lakers Dynasty because they would be guaranteed the NBA title in 2021. LaVine can score on and off the ball and is very capable of being a primary scorer when LeBron and Davis rest. LaVine can attack the rim or score from the outside and brings a high-flying style to the flashy Lakers market. Overall, LaVine makes the Lakers the favorites for the next 3 years and his arrival would extend LeBron’s career another 3 years.

The Chicago Bulls Prevent Mediocrity And Tank For The Future

The Chicago Bulls are going as Zach LaVine goes right now. They lack any star power outside of the athletic youngster and this does not look good for their future. Fighting to keep LaVine on a below-average roster means they will only be fighting to make the playoffs every year. Chicago won’t be attracting any of the top free agents in coming years and their young players will likely need a lot more time to blossom. Zach LaVine’s value is sky-high right now, so they should take advantage immediately.

The return that the Lakers can offer is excellent for Chicago. They need to tank for valuable draft picks next year, and young players such as Kyle Kuzma and Talen Horton-Tucker are perfect fits for the rebuild process. Kuzma is averaging 10.6 PPG this season while Horton-Tucker is averaging 6.8 PPG. Both players have bright futures and can be players that can grow around Lauri Markkanen and Coby White. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Alex Caruso also give Chicago two good role players while the first-round pick adds to the stash that the Bulls should aim to collect.
