LeBron James made a lot of fans mad on Friday night due to his antics on the court, using his well-known flopping tactics to get foul calls against the Memphis Grizzlies. The King has been famous for being a flopper, one of the best (or the worst) in the league and he showed all of his talents against the young Grizzlies team.
While going for a rebound against Dillon Brooks and Grayson Allen, James dramatically fell and earned the call, which made the Grizzlies’ announcer go off on him, expressing his frustration with the way LBJ draws fouls not only now but for a big part of his career.
This flop by LeBron is an outrage. Truly. Cmon man. https://t.co/R14N82z2rF

That sequence arrived on Twitter and the NBA community started debating about it, some defending LeBron, saying that Ja Morant had done the same to Anthony Davis in prior plays while others simply attacked the 4x NBA champion, saying this is nothing new for him.
If that’s how he can get calls so be it cause they ain’t calling the obvious ones

What type of champion dose this?? So weak… u have all the skill in the world but need these petty call. This is the only reason he’s not a unanimous G.O.A.T

I’m no Lebron fan boy but brooks is clearly stopping him from going up, it’s a foul that just oversells

This is absolutely LeBron’s response to Ja’s head flail flop from earlier. Out of context it’s horrible flop given the contact, but in context it’s just his way of balancing out an advantage his opponent gained by a similar action. He saw what Ja did & said “alright, I got you”.

is this also an outrage or https://t.co/a90sQJAOqP

can we just agree flopping is a part of the game at this point…. if you’re skilled enough to sell a call to a ref then you deserve the call…

I'm not sure if this supposed to justify the flop by LeBron lol

You’re right. If only they didn’t make that one specific call. The Grizzlies would have won. pic.twitter.com/aF7iuEel8u

Some of y’all never tripped over someone in ya life I guess. He tried to step backwards and didn’t have space y’all swear everything is a flop. He literally just fell and the rules say that’s a foul 🤷🏽♂️ anyway stay mad it’s funny watching y’all cry about it

Not sure how this guy has fans who defend him. He’s insufferable. This is weird to say, but I think I judge lebron fans now. For example, no way I want my doctor to be a lebron-fan…he makes poor decisions.

LeBron is one of the best floppers in the league and even though he took things too far this time, the refs bought the acting and gave him the call. This is something that not everybody likes to see in the league but it is what it is. He tricked the refs, took his free throws, and end of the story.
Other players like Marcus Smart, Joel Embiid and more have been called out for being floppers and Bron is not the exception. However, that hasn’t made any difference for the King or any other player who uses these tactics to get to the FT line.
